BlindWrite - Trouble Shooting

This is straight from the VSO (BlindWrite) web site, and this may help us help you. It will give some idea's and maybe a solution to your problem:
1.) Do you have the latest version of the concerned VSO product?
2.) Do you have the latest firmware for your hardware (CD/DVD writer)?
3.) Did you turn off any antivirus and other burning software which might access the CD/DVD units at the same time?
Note1: A lot of users reported problems with NAV on some configurations. If you have MMC errors etc., please disable the antivirus during the writing process.
Note2: A lot of users reported problems with VIA and NVIDIA low level drivers (i.e. IDE drivers). Sometimes Microsoft certified drivers work better, sometimes a new version of the drivers from VIA can help. Please post your problems on the forums or contact us if you are unsure.
4.) Do you use an illegal key? Illegal licenses can produce instabilities in the code. The solution is to register, then you will be able to access and request assistance from our technical support team.
5.) Are you using appropriate media for your operation? DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, CDR, CDRW. Each format is different and can have a differnet behaviour depending on your system. The key to a good backup is to use good media. Check if the media you are using is highly compatible with your hardware. Check the link below to see what users think about the hardware and media you are using. If you suddenly have problems with MMC errors, please try various media before contacting us. Also about the speed, don't believe the marketing. The slower the writing speed (4x or 8x for CD), the better the backup.

6.) Did you check the surface of the media? It is a stupid mistake. Check if the media to read and media to write is clean, scratch-less, not too transparent or damaged. The quality of the surface can greatly influence the overall backup process.
7.) Did you let the system work quietly during the process? If you don't have problems, you can interact with your computer of course, but if you have any faulty behaviour, please do not use your system, especially when Blindwrite is extracting topology information!
8.) Try a different unit. Even if you have a reader and a writer, the backup products depends highly on the hardware, there are no rules about which is the best to use. You have to try. If you have a playback problem, try to use your writer for reading first. Some units can be damn slow compared to others. The best manufactors depending on our experience are Plextor, Lite-on (writers), LG (recent units), Sony (DVD writers). The most problematics drives are Toshiba, old LG, Pioneer, TDK, MSI. Of course it doesn't mean it will not work if you are using an unlisted manufacturor or model, it just means we don't know all the models and it depends on your own use of our products.

9.) If you are unable to use your backup properly on another computer when you are using Blindwrite, please install Blindwrite or Autoplay (even unregistered, this part of the program is free) on the client computer. Autoplay is used to improved the compatibility of the backup in your system.
10.) If nothing helps, please do a simple test... select all files in the source media, copy paste them to your hard drive, if you have an error during the copy, it means your system is unstable or your optical unit is unable to read this CD for any reason... in this case, it's normal that BlindWrite or CopyToDVD are unable to work correctly.
If you checked these 10 points and you still have a problem, please contact us, and PLEASE prepare your log to send it to us if requested (C2CD.LOG or BW5.LOG)
